Planning an erotic and romantic getaway is exciting—no matter if you are traveling alone, as a couple, or part of a group. You might also be considering taking sex toys through airport security as adult trips also contain the promise of hot sex… and again, that could mean solo, couple, or group fucking.

But remember, before you get to have the down-and-dirty travel sex, you first need to slide your way past airport security.

How to Avoid Red-Faced TSA Stress

The good news first. There is nothing that says you aren’t allowed to travel with sex toys in your carry-on or in checked luggage. So don’t feel like you are packing contraband. However, there are things that can result in having a TSA agent pull out your full-on horse cock vibrator for all of the security lines to see. Follow these six tips when traveling with sex toys, and you’ll be golden.

Use a Drawstring Bag

Your sex toys are put in intimate places. You don’t want something designed for use in your vagina or asshole to be handled by anyone else other than you or your partner(s). So, if a random security check is conducted on your suitcase, at least your sex toys remain private and discreet from prying eyes.

Plus, we encourage you not to put your sex toys in plastic bags. If your dildo is made of silicone, you might end up with something that looks like a melted gummy worm when you open your suitcase.

Remove the Batteries

If you’re traveling with any sex toy that uses batteries, your best bet is to remove them from the toy in both checked and carry-on luggage. We recommend and packing the batteries in a separate container in your checked luggage. Some airlines do have restrictions on alkaline batteries (think the AAA and AA that power your bunny vibrator) going into the hold.

Pop out the power when taking sex toys through airport security. That way, you can avoid accidentally turning on an errant vibrator and triggering a search.

Pack the Lube in Your Checked Luggage

Remember, lube is considered a liquid. Put the KY in your checked luggage, if possible. If you are carrying on, remember size restrictions (3 oz/100 ml max). Additionally, your liquids have to be put in plastic bags and potentially removed in the security lane. To prevent anyone else from seeing that you are carrying a tube of Astroglide, think about transferring the liquid to a generic container.

Consider Travel-Friendly Sex Toys

Going back to the idea of packing the dildo that rivals in size to a horse cock, realize that you are likely dealing with limited space. Therefore, consider buying smaller versions of your favorite sex toys. This includes small butt plugs, cock rings, bullets, and other variations. None of these take up a lot real estate in your suitcase.

Another tip is to potentially opt for taking your cheaper toys when traveling in case your luggage gets lost. You also don’t want anything to get broken in transit. The last vacation expense you need is to replace your favorite $400 vibrator.

Beware of Bondage

Here’s one area where packing sex toys is not so clear-cut. If you are into BDSM sex play, know that whips, floggers, and paddles could be considered weapons. So, they might be confiscated, regardless of whether they are in your hand luggage or your checked bag.

Alina, 32, is heavily into BDSM kink with her girlfriend. When they travel, they pay close attention to how they pack their toys.

“Nipple clamps, hoods, rope, and handcuffs are usually good to go,” says Alina. “But it can come down to the discretion of the airline. It’s best if you keep your sex toys in original branded bags or label the item. This way, TSA understands you are simply a horny kinkster… and not a terrorist.”

Consider Your Destination

Finally, when you are looking to do some travel fucking, make sure you consider your final destination when taking sex toys through airport security. If traveling abroad, check the rules of the country you’re traveling to, as sex toys and pornography can be illegal. For instance, Malaysia, the Maldives, India, Thailand, Singapore, and Vietnam all have strict laws regarding the possession of adult toys and porn.

If you’re staying in Stateside, you’ll be fine in every state except Alabama. Here sex toys are illegal—because of-fucking-course they are.  Get with the times, Alabama, and pull out the stick shoved up your ass and replace it with anal beads!
