S.B. never aspired to be an author. Instead, she tumbled into it tail over teakettle when she got an idea for a book and decided to write it. Little did she know the inspiration for that novel would lead to a new career path, resuscitation of creativity she’d assumed was long dead, and a world of amazing author and reader friends. More than half a decade into her journey, S.B. has published more than 55 books across two pen names in two different romance genres.

As an only child who many people thought would appreciate board games as birthday gifts, S.B. spent a lot of time reading. With an opportunity to travel to far-off lands since her parents only had to pack enough clothes for one kid, she took piles of books to entertain her on long flights. She’s Gen Y/Oregon Trail, so there was only one movie and one screen back in those prehistoric days.

Now, she’s a former educator and a one-kid, out-the-door empty nester with her husband of more than 20 years. She loves a good Netflix binge and a strong hot chai. She’s adamantly anti-coffee. After all, she can lick mud for free. When she isn’t enjoying sitting outside with her laptop, letting her imagination wander, she’s probably watching one of The Real Housewives franchises. Shh. We all have guilty pleasures. That’s why we’re here, right?
